Course Description
AI, especially Generative AI and its variants, are transforming the landscape of businesses around the globe. In particular, small to medium organizations in the developing countries will have numerous opportunities but will also face serious security and governance challenges. This short course is based on graduate level research and education in the United States, combined with practical work with the United Nations in multiple developing countries. The emphasis is on AI concepts and how it can make organizations smarter through gradual digital transformations. A strategic planning methodology based on a digital transformation platform is used for hands-on experiments and better insights. Numerous examples and case studies will be used and the students will form small businesses in a team environment.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Understand what is AI and how it can transform businesses
- How blockchains, web and other technologies also support the transformations
- Identify the key components of AI-driven Smart Digital Enterprises
- Understand the role these components play in digital transformations
- Create simple digital transformation plans of a medium sized organization
Requirements
- All CITO courses require a Bachelor’s degree or four years of work experience in a modern organization.
- Interest in learning about digital technologies and technology platforms
- Access to a computer with internet connectivity for online components
- Commitment to participate in hands-on labs and projects
Features

- Each session concentrates on one topic and has one hour of lecture (mixture of pre-recorded materials and in class discussion moderated by an instructor)
